Dear Future Workforce Professionals,
I’m writing with an important message regarding how to earn your college degree. St. Landry Workforce Alliance is a coalition of educational organizations that work together to improve vocational education in the St. Landry Parish School District. We are actively involved in the educational community, providing services to students, teachers and the community of St. Landry Parish.
You've probably heard the saying “if you can’t beat them, join them”. It seems like the trend of “future workforce professionals” is a popular one amongst school districts these days. St. Landry Workforce Alliance is a partnership that is made up of the four school districts in the parish that work together to provide a comprehensive comprehensive workforce development program.
A recent study predicts that the majority of the world’s workforce will be Millennials by 2020, and that number is closer to the present in school
In today's workforce, employers are looking for professionals with the ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment. They are looking for people who will work well with others, understand the importance of good communication, and look past the traditional knowledge of their given discipline or field. They are looking for people who have the proper tools to be successful in their chosen fields, and can easily adapt to new situations as they arise.
The future of today’s workforce is one of the most important issues facing Louisiana today. The need for skilled workers, and the opportunity for growth, is multifaceted. When our communities and our economy are strong, we all benefit. When our workforce is strong, our communities thrive. The St. Landry Workforce Alliance is a group of employers and employees whose mission is to ensure that local employers can attract and retain the skilled workers they need to be successful.
